Bollywood sensation, Ranveer Singh takes a new thrilling venture as he unites with celebrated director Aditya Dhar for a captivating spy thriller. This film is produced by Jio Studios and has already started shooting, and touted to be the biggest spectacle of all time.
“According to our source from Pinkvilla, Jio studios were very much excited when they heard Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s story. They are planning to give it all it needs in terms of financing because they believe in its potential and the two filmmakers’ ability to attract audiences to cinema halls,” said unnamed insider.
This high-octane drama is inspired by real events from the golden era of Indian intelligence agencies, coinciding with the rise of R&AW. Currently, Dhurandhar is the working title but other details about it have not been released.
Among others, this film stars Bollywood big names such as Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal alongside Ranveer Singh himself. To make them look like authentic spies who used to work in Indian secret services each actor underwent through several look tests.
The informant added “Aditya Dhar will be debuting into the world of espionage with Ranveer Singh.” Also according to our source, “Sanjay Dutt plays antagonist and actors like Akshaye Khanna ,R Madhavan ,Arjun Rampal would represent India’s intelligence set-up.”
Shooting for this film is expected in several international locations beginning with Thailand then moving on Canada and finally coming back home where they will complete filming it in Mumbai. The creators expect an elaborate release of this movie towards the end of 2025.

Featuring an extensive production budget and a six-month shooting schedule, this movie is likely to be an eye-popping visual spectacle filled with adrenaline pumping action scenes and complicated twists and turns of the plot. “This is a perfect follow up for director Aditya Dhar after Uri’s phenomenal success; Ranveer is equally excited to work with Dhar again on this project,” concluded our source.
