Honored Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji joins hands with the famous charity Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) on the day of World Rose Day. This actress will daub the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai in red on the breast cancer awareness day. She will also touch tha upper part of the bandra — worli sea link.
Overjoyed with being part of such a noble assignment, Rani Mukerji stated: “Its a very kind gesture on my part to support such an important cause therefore I appreciate the Cancer Patients Aid Association for inviting me to be involved in such a good course. Anyone who is going through this stage of sorrow requires all the attention and love offered, and all the efforts to learn in regard to cancer should be made. I trust this activity serves this purpose quite effectively.”
She further stated, “As actors we are being loved unconditionally by our viewers and it is such love that they need. It also makes us responsible to get up and walk the talk and do our part when required. Personally, I feel that actors should speak up on behalf of the issues which deserve our attention, whether it is cancer or anything else because awareness is very important. There is a need to create a culture of appropriate attitudes towards sick people with cancer as well, as their relatives accompanying them on this hard way. It is necessary to have activities like these in order to convey such messages.”
As well as lighting up the sea link, Rani Mukerji will give flowers and presents to the children taking part in the event.
World Rose Day is devoted to the memory of 12-year-old Melinda Rose from Canada. She suffered from a rare form of blood cancer known as Askin’s Tumor.
While explaining Darsheel’s simplicity, Rani Mukerji was last seen in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway which is based on a woman from whose children were taken by the Norwegian government.
