Ranbir Kapoor is preparing for yet another double role in Bollywood. As per a report published exclusively by PeepingMoon, Ranbir will portray both Lord Ram and Parashuram in the highly ambitious Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological drama Ramayana. The film will show the meeting of both avatars and in particular the famous sequence in which Parashuram confronts Ram after Ram destroys the bow of lord Shiva, Pinaka.
“Parashuram is one of the characters in the epic with a short but impactful role and the creators have made sure that is seen there.” as a source informed to the publication. Parashuram will be a completely different character who will be played by Ranbir in his Parashuram character, and the filmmakers are looking for a completely transformed actor.
Amitabh Bachchan Joins the Cast as Jatayu
The report moreover recounted that Amitabh Bachchan has also been included in the stellar cast of Ramayana. Nevertheless, Bachchan will not be physically performing in the film; he will provide his vocal talents to the character Jatayu, a magical bird appearing in the my. ka with a very active role. Jatayu dies in the process of abducting Sita from her captor Ravana. While it is simply a guest appearance, the production team made it a point to take scan pictures of Bachchan’s eyes to provide for VFX in a rather pathetic.

Nitesh Tiwari, the director that has committed six years of his life to pre production, has surely left no stone unturned in orchestrating this two part drama. The first part details of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita early years, their courtship, their 14 years of exile together, The second part however will feature the grand fateful encounter between Lord Ram and Ravana.
Besides the depiction of Lord Ram by Ranbir Kapoor, South Indian actress Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the part of Goddess Sita, and Yash shall be seen as Ravana. The movie also has a good cast including Hanuman played by Sunny Deol, Laxman by Ravi Dubey, Kaikeyi represented by Lara Dutta, and Shurpanakha along with Rakul Preet Singh. Anuj Sachdeva plays the role of Luke as well as other important cast supporting characters Such as Arun Govil as Dashrath Kunal Gogatin as Indra dev harnam Baweja as Vibhishan Sonia Balani as Urmila. The shooting for the film commenced in April and will conclude in November and the film will be released in the year 2026 all over the world.
