Kolkata: one day after multiple CCTV footage of Raj Bhawan was watched by the West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose as a means to eradicate Harassment The victim on Friday said she would approach President Durupadi Murmu for intervention. The employee protested against the public screening of an unedited video where she believes people identified her because her face was not blurred.
According to her, Kolkata police were helpless due to constitutional immunity Governor Bose and therefore she had no much hope in them. She argued that severe depression came upon her after which writing to the president became only way for justice.
“I know very well that the current governor will be immune from any charges thrown at him because of his constitutional immunity; but what about any offenses he committed? I decided to write to the president and ask for her intervention in this issue. There is nothing more I wrote on it other than justice,” alleged victim told PTI.
The victim expressed anger that the footage was shown without protecting her identity and said she would also seek compensation from police.
She called the May 2 CCTV screening an “insult”, accused him of further breaching my privacy and confidentiality saying “governor’s lack of cooperation” throughout this investigation.
“But how could governor display my video without my consent? Today he committed a fresh crime,” she stated.
Earlier, Kolkata Police confirmed that they were going through an ‘enquiry’ not investigation which needed filing FIRs since guv is protected under article 361(2) of constitution thus absolving his complete criminal liability.
A female contractual employee working at Raj Bhavan has complained to Kolkata Police alleging molestation by Bose on April 24th as well as May 2nd at gubernatorial residence.
Boss who orchestrated a “stupid drama” as a cover up besides stating that earlier in the investigation he should have provided it to police himself criticized by her.“He (the governor) did something so disgusting. Then he acted out an idiotic drama to help him save his backside. Before releasing the video, he did not even ask me for permission. It is unlawful because my identities are supposed to be confidential,” she added.
All in all, two CCTV camera footages from the main (north) gate on May 2 between 5:32 pm and 6:41 pm were shown to a section of the audience including reporters in the central marble hall at Raj Bhavan ground floor.
In the first clip posted above, she was seen wearing jeans and top rushing towards police post inside governor’s house with many police personnel surrounding her who had been deployed there to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit which was however not conducted by Dee.
The second video which lasts about ten minutes showed different vehicles including fire engines arriving at Raj Bhavan north gate as well as police lining up for their daily duties. However, victim was never sighted.
