Asserting his polemics against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (Narendra Modi Party) in the context of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Haryana, Congress supremo and the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi on Monday (September 30, 2024) stated that the BJP has been practicing politics at the expense of the interests of the poor and the working class in favour of big corporates-‘Khurshid.’
The Congress unveils its comprehensive strategy for Haryana assembly elections.
“I specifically want to know how many people of what caste live in this country. In Delhi (Centre), 90 officers govern India. Other Backward Classes (OBC) constitute at least half Close to 15% are the Dalits while about Adivasi (tribals count around 8%), minorities about 15%, and all these groups account for about 90% of the country’s population. Tucker, downloading the… where is the money sir? There are poor, you cannot give them money, farmers’ loans there is no way out, and insurance money can’t be distributed right now, among them there are only three central officers who belongs to OBC category however even though their population is 50%. Not only this but these OBC officers are not given positions in the higher Ministries. In those big Ministries, only people from that 8%-9% category are there. Dalits comprise 15% of the population, but decision-making is hardly in their hands.
Hence Congress intends to know how many Dalits OBC etc and Adivasis are there in the country as well as how many of them are found in the institutions and in business,” said Mr. Gandhi in Naraingarh of Ambala district as he announced his plans to conduct a caste-survey in Haryana once the Congress comes to power in the State.
Mr. Gandhi also accompanied Madam Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in leading the party’s ‘Vijay_Sankalp_Yatra’ to create a conducive atmosphere before the assembly elections in the State, which is overdue for October 5. Also present in the event were senior Congress leaders from Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja, who is participating in the event.
Haryana Assembly elections: Shah says guarantees made by Rahul Gandhi to voters in Himachal and Karnataka did not hold similar reasons in this state
To which Mr. Gandhi hit back, and accusing the Central Government to be a remote controlled, in whose hands are the ‘Adani y’ and the ‘Ambani‘ . “.. Now new ‘vikas’ since there is only the ‘vikas’ a land hypothetically is needed to create development but mosquito farmers labor is not always necessary to create such development. Not even a single square inch of land belonging to ‘Adani’ or ‘Ambani’ has ever been acquired in the name of development, but countless acres belonging to farmers is taken under the guise of development. So far, no farms are left.” Mr. said.
Mr. Gandhi attacked the BJP over the issue of the ‘Agniveers’ and claimed that the Agnipath scheme was for the monopolization of the soldiers’ pension. “In ordinary life after retirement if a soldier normally fights for the pension which is life long to his order will be no assignment no bazaar pension for him which explains why his money is being robbed.” He said.
According to Mr. Gandhi, the common man is under hardship even under the BJP government as it provides all the goodies to large corporates and industrialists at which Congress is aspired towards saving the interest of poor people, workers and farmers.
