Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Stereotyped In 90s Format With Rajkummar Rao And Triptii Dimri Releasing A Newlywed Couple’s Video Of Their Honeymoon Goes All Comedic As ‘The Two Lose The CD’. The trailer faces criticism and appreciation praising its release with many punch lines till its subsequent happenings. Some have expressed concerns about its similarity to the movie Sex Tape which stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal and is about a couple filming themselves having sex. Only, the director the film Raaj Shaandilyaa has answered that it cannot be because he has never watched such a Hollywood flick.
While speaking to PTI , he claimed that he did not notice such similar features with the American movie and maintained that the two works are fundamentally different. “Vicky Vidya…” features the titular husband and wife desperate to find the CD of their wedding night, while a Sex Tape is about a husband and wife who shoot a tape of getting intimate, so that they may rekindle their relationship, only to discover later that the tape was missing.”said, “The characters and story are different . our film has nothing to do with sex tape. I have not even seen the sex tape. So that’s where my inspiration does not come from. My inspiration comes from life and the people.” To further the cause, he also said that this film is penned by writer Yusuf Ali Khan. And that the work on the screenplay started as long ago as in 2018.
Furthermore, in the same exchange, Raaj further revealed that they are working on a follow-up that will take place approximately a decade and a half later, based on the era of early Internet and the rise of social media. “At the end of this film, there will be a sequel which we have in mind 10 years into the future from the date of the film, when the internet comes to us. The story is sitting on the table waiting for its shooting. Once I complete shooting another film, we are going to shoot this film,” he detailed.
