According to an official, on Monday bodies of all five people who were carried away by water at Bhushi Dam near Pune’s Lonavala were found. The missing body of the 4-year-old boy was discovered in the evening.
They drowned at about half past twelve on Sunday. A girl’s body was pulled out yesterday. Three others have been recovered by now, but there is still a child unaccounted for.
“The search operation ended today when Adnan Ansari’s body was pulled out,” reported Suhas Jagtap, senior inspector of Lonavala police station.
After several hours of search and rescue operations at the site from Sunday afternoon, Shahista Liaqat Ansari (36), Amina Adil Ansari (13) and Umera Adil Ansari (8) were discovered by rescuers. Navy divers, police and other rescue teams resumed their search this morning; they found Mariya Ansari (9) dead in a reservoir.
A video clip shows around 9-10 individuals holding onto each other while rushing waters are all around them and then dragging off a lady followed by little boy and later on young girl.
