On September 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at Pune, and he will launch and dedicate more than ₹22,600 crore worth of works, including Pune Metro Rail projects.

Inauguration of the Pune metro section to be constructed between District Court and Swargate will be last step in the full completion of Phase-1 of the Pune metro rail system. The underground stretch from the District Court to Swargate will be of order of 1,810 crores.

Also, PM Modi will today also perform the ground breaking for Swargate-Katraj Extension of Pune Metro Phase – 1 which will be built at the estimated cost of rupees 2950 crores. The southern extension of the route is approximately five point four six kilometers and is fully underground comprising of three stations named Market Yard, Padmavati and Katraj.

He will be performing the Bhumi Pujan for a memorial for Kranti Jyoti Savitribai phule Bhidewada first girls school.

The prime minister will also hand over to the nation three PARAM rudra supercomputers constructed indigenously under the National Supercomputing Mission at cost worth around Rs.130 crore, in accordance to his pledge to make Inida ‘Supercomputing’ self-sufficient technologically.

To conduct advanced scientific explorations, these supercomputers are put into use in Pune, Delhi and Kolkata. In Pune, the Giant Meter Radio Telescope (GMRT) will use the supercomputer to study Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) and other objects in the universe. The Inter University Accelerator Centre in Delhi will further facilitate studies focused on new materials and atomic structures. In Kolkatta, the S. N. Bose Centre will push more collaboration in regards to the advanced research in serveral fields including physics and cosmology and earth sciences.

Mr. Modi will also inaugurate high performance computing systems for research in weather and climate. This project entails the investment of ₹850 crore indicating a great advancement for India in terms of meteorological computational projects. Apart from this, he would include and dedicate several projects worth ₹10,400 crores in the petroleum and natural gas sector to the pride of the nation.

In addition to this, Prime Minister Modi prepares to formally open the Solapur Airport which would enhance the mode of transportation improving the links making Solapur where his tourist, business people and investors would like to go. The existing terminal Building of Solapur was extended design wise to accommodate about 4.1 lakh passengers on a yearly basis.
