Kensington Palace office has recently announced that Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales will attend the Wimbledon Men’s Final in London on Sunday.
The palace informed that she would be there despite still recovering from a recent cancer diagnosis in a press release statement: “The Princess of Wales, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will attend the Gentlemen’s Singles Final of The Championships, Wimbledon on Sunday 14th July.”
This is her second public appearance after undergoing surgery six months ago which confirmed she had cancer. The princess at 42 years old who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment is a great tennis fan and serves as patron for the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Wimbledon where the annual tennis tournament takes place.
Having received unexpected news about her cancer earlier this year, the 42-year-old Princess has since kept a low profile as she has undergone preventative chemotherapy treatment. Her presence at the Wimbledon final marks a significant public appearance.
In June, Princess (formerly Kate Middleton) took part in “Trooping the Colour”. In one of her letters prior to attending another event during this summer period, she said: “I am making good progress but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.”
“My treatment will continue for several months,” says Kate Middleton who is known by her former name (Kensington Palace). Medical Advisers have not disclosed specific details about her type of cancer or condition; they only mentioned that it began in February.
At seventy five years old King Charles has also been receiving treatment for cancer. He returned to his duties in April with an uncomfortable diary but most things being managed to avoid damaging his health further.
Last year’s men’s final at Wimbledon saw both Prince William and his wife together with their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte all dressed up for the occasion.
Prince William shall fly to Berlin again for Euro 2024 final where England faces Spain. The Palace has confirmed that he will be joined by Keir Starmer, the new British Prime Minister. This is after their defeat against Italy in the 2020 tournament’ final stage when all men’s team will be looking for redemption.
