Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex is said to have decided against attending a high profile wedding of Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif in view of the difficulties which his presence might cause. The Wedding which initially was planned as one of the biggest social events this year will also have Prince William, his brother attending it.
According to Daily Mail reports, sources close to the situation reveal that Prince Harry had second thoughts about whether he should go causing a fuss surrounding such move. “The insider told our reporter that Harry has now realised what he would have faced if he attended.”
This follows continued differences and alleged fallout between him and other members of the British royal family. In particular, there has been a lot of media attention from and rumors about Harry’s absence in this case even though Prince William is still scheduled to attend.
This underscored by several high profile guests invited for Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif’s wedding who are coming from different parts of the world. Royals, dignitaries, celebrities will come together on this grand wedding occasion.
Despite not showing up for the event, some people deemed prince Harry’s decision as respectful since it was meant to prevent media focus on his troubled family affair from overshadowing the couple’s special day. A Royal commentator remarked; “It’s a high-society wedding that would have attracted even more attention if both brothers had been present.”
By choosing this way, Prince Harry demonstrates an increased recognition for how his deeds affect public opinion about him especially given his efforts to strike a balance between his new life in America and his links with British royalties.
As we approach the day when they are supposed walk down the aisle all eyes will be on prince William expecting some developments within their family dynamics, while at the same time there might be discussions regarding prince harry not being around.
