According to the expert, Prince Harry thought that his dad King Charles would try to make peace with him and forgive him but it did not go as planned.
In their conversation with the Mirror, a royal expert named Tom Quinn noted that this reunion has become harder for them because while the king expects Harry to apologize, Duchess Meghan Markle hopes for an apology from the Royal Family.
“Despite all his criticisms Harry always assumed he would be forgiven by his father. He thought Charles would make amends for what in Harry’s view were valid criticisms.”
Since quitting royal duties last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been living in America with their children.
The Duke of Sussex released his memoir “Spare” in January 2023 which contained several accusations against the monarchy.
“The Queen is said to be “filled with horror” at the possibility of Meghan writing her personal life story, including her marriage and time as a senior working member of the British Royal Family”, reports The Mirror
It means that through these two years plus, the King has never seen his grandson or granddaughter through their parents and there are no signs this will change any time soon as indicated by some sources.
“Though attacking royal family in public statements, prince’s father hasn’t publicly replied aggressively but in private King Charles is said to be very furious. In fact, he does not even want to answer calls from his son anymore”, expounded Tom.
