Pratik Gandhi has a mishap on the set of Gandhi; says, “It kind of hurts”
On his third release this year, Dedh Bigha Zameen which is coming out today Pratik Gandhi has come to realise that playing Mahatma Gandhi isn’t an easy task even if you are Gandhi yourself. So, it happened last night that Pratik discovered when he was shooting for Applause Entertainment’s Gandhi directed by Hansal Mehta where he could have been seriously injured.
“Yes, I am fine now,” said Pratik, when I called him to make inquiries. “During a rehearsal session for the next scene shoot, a ceramic pot fell on me and I got a deep cut on my right hand knuckle. Last evening they stitched it up.”
“Is it painful?” Asked in case Pratik feels any pain, but he responded saying “A bit painful. However, it should be all right within some days.”
Talking about his hugely fulfilling relationship with Applause Entertainment, Pratik stated that “Scam 1992 was definitely one of those turning points in my career. Rather than pressure though I try to change these expectations into excitement and inspiration for myself. Scam changed my life!”
According to him; Scam is the first time when he had worked with them; Do Aur Do Pyaar is another such instance. They are all very special projects to me personally and professionally as well – like Do Aur Do Pyaar being my maiden mainstream rom com and Ghandi representing the largest project ever done by me till date in terms of film making”. “I always love collaborating with visionary minds like Sameer Nair and his brilliant team at Applause Entertainment who know how to backright creative talent” said Prateek.
