Several charges have been leveled against YSRCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy such as attacking a polling agent and a police officer, threatening a woman and damaging an EVM at a polling station.
Justice Venkata Jyothirmai Pratapa of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on May 28 (Tuesday) granted YSRCP Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy’s application for anticipatory bail in respect of the offences charged against him for which he is alleged to have committed during electioneering in his constituency on May 13th.
The learned Judge has given interim protection to him from any coercive steps including arrest upto June 6th subject to ten conditions that were listed by her.
He must be watched by police all through his period of protection; He should be made to sit in his MPs quarters at Narsaraopet, He should not create law and order problem in Palnadu district, Responsible for untoward incidents happening with his supporters; He must sign every day before the superintendent of police SP office , His address at Narasaraopet and active contact number are required by the SP while he is reporting himself at his office daily till June 6th ;Give his passport to magistrate or additional junior civil judge having jurisdiction in concerned matter so that he may not leave country.
Furthermore,the judge asked the Superintendent Police(SP)to ensure enough guards of these individuals.
On June 4th, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy comes before RO Macherla Constituency for counting. Others days he has been ordered to report at SP’s office.
The present cases are about committing poll-related offences under different sections of law like IPC and RPA that includes attempt to murder against this YSRCP leader who allegedly attacked one polling agent, one policeman and threatened a woman after breaking down an EVM which was exposed in the social media after two days.
