What the Federal Communications Commission did was to issue a $6 million fine against a political consultant who made robocalls that imitated President Joe Biden’s voice using AI to voters before New Hampshire’s presidential primary.
Kramer, who is also facing two dozen criminal charges in New Hampshire, has confessed to having sent the message to numerous people. It was not immediately clear if he Thursday replied on his demand for comments but had earlier stated that he intended sending warnings bells about the consequences of artificial intelligence.

According to FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, we are for sure going after these criminals; she said this when asked about how her department helps states in fighting these criminals. She described such calls as “scary.”
She also commented thus; “It could be anyone of us because at times a caller may sound like a celebrity we love, or your favorite politician or even one of our own family members and sometimes AI technology can be used in manipulative phone calls so that someone might think they are being fooled into believing something that is false.” She went on stating, “That’s exactly how those behind manipulated voice junk calls’ bad actors want you reacting.”
