On May 21, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a senior BJP leader, accused the Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru of being responsible for “breaking the country” and said that PM Narendra Modi “will unite the nation together.”
At South Delhi’s campaign meeting to support BJP candidate Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Mr. Chouhan who is a former Madhya Pradesh chief minister was optimistic that Mr. Modi would take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) if re-elected for a third time.
“Under his guidance, the country has prospered and is poised to become a world leader,” declared Mr. Chouhan.
“Congress and Nehru on the other hand sinned against this country by breaking it apart.” Had Nehru not stopped the war (of 1947) and allowed it to continue for another three days, we would have had entire Kashmir part of India now. PoK wouldn’t exist today,” he stated.
Modi will get PoK back if he becomes the Pm again, added Shivraj Singh Chouhan as he pledged to preserve “Pride of Mother India and Delhiites” before expressing confidence in his party’s victory across all seven national capital Lok Sabha seats.
Mr. Chouhan blamed Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister of having cheated those who helped him build Aam Aadmi Party saying that “Kejriwal cheated so many people and sidelined them; from Anna Hazare to Prashant Bhushan to Kumar Vishwas.”
Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar was arrested yesterday for allegedly assaulting AAP MP Swati Maliwal at CM’s residence as alleged by AAP claiming that she was “blackmailed” into becoming part of conspiracy against CM since she faced charges in an illegal recruitment case leveled against her by BJP.
Calling INDIA bloc opposition group an “alliance of compulsion,” Mr. Chouhan mocked it saying, “These people cannot run the country properly. They have not even revealed the name of their prime ministerial candidate. Only PM Modi can run the country effectively and take it to newer heights.”
