On May 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow in Puri constituency.
The people have decided that they want a robust BJP-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) Government at the Center. The intensity of the wave is “rising and rising”, he said.
He went on X to express his gratitude towards those who voted during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls which happened a day earlier.
“If INDI alliance tries any type of votebank politics, then people will not trust them. They are completely discredited and demoralised,” stated the Indian Prime minister in his post.
“NDA popularity wave is continuously getting stronger. The people of India have chosen that they need a strong NDA Government at the Center.” In this regard, there was a voter turnout of over 59% in 49 constituencies across six States and two Union Territories on May 20th as part of 5th phase general elections.
With the end of polling in phase five, voting has now been completed in twenty-five states and union territories out of twenty-eight states and seven union territories having total number of four hundred twenty eight constituencies out of five hundred forty three Lok Sabha seats. There are still two more phases – on May 25th and June 1st – to go before counting on June 4th.
