On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized India’s opposition group for “insulting” President Drupadi Murmu after visiting the Ram temple in Ayodhya and claimed that the Congress party would get less than The age of its “Sheikhzada”.
Modi also said in Chhatra, while addressing a poll rally, that alliance leaders were planning to merge smaller parties to gain opposition status after the Lok Sabha polls.
The prime minister stated that: “The Congress will get fewer seats than ‘Shehzada’s’ age.” This seemingly referred to Rahul Gandhi. He added that the group “has accepted defeat.”
“These people have an 18th-century mindset… They talked about how they would clean it following her visit to Ram Mandir but it was not necessary because our president worshiped there… They insulted the president,” he continued.
He also said his NDA government would be formed in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh where assembly polls are being held.
“We bow down to tribals but JMM and Congress cannot digest this honour given to them”, he urged people vote for BJP to oust these forces.
He added that the Indian bloc intended on “handing over national assets to Muslims” and giving OBC/SC/ST reservations away from their vote bank of the alliance.
