The Lok Sabha will witness the introduction of the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2024 by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as the Parliament is set to convene for the ongoing Budget Session on July 29.
“Nirmala Sitharaman to move for leave to introduce a Bill to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the services of the financial year 2024-25. Also to introduce and move the bill,” stated in list of businesses.
The aim behind introducing The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.3) Bill, 2024, is to authorize payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of Consolidated Fund of Union territory J&K towards expenses during FY 2024-25.
Both Houses of Parliament will continue with discussions on Union Budget 2024-25 presented on July 23, according to an agenda released; they are due on Monday too. It should be noted that there will also be deliberations on J&K budget, 2024-25 which was also presented on Tuesday.
