New Delhi, 22 July 2024: The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi is speaking to the media on the parliament’s first day.
One day before the presentation of Union Budget Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Union Budget 2024 would set. “The direction for our journey over next five years and provide strong foundation for Viksit Bharat” on July 22.
“Positive outlook, investment and performance define India. It is at the peak of opportunities”, said Mr. Modi ahead of parliament’s Budget Session.
The Indian Premier blamed opposition parties for affecting economic growth in the country. “A few members couldn’t make their points in the House due to constant disruptions in the house,” he told reporters near his cabin.
“Additionally, all political fights characterized during Lok Sabha elections are now history,” noted Mr. Modi. “The country has given its verdict… I request all political parties should rise above their politics and work only for the country.”
“Finally, some politicians have attempted to hide behind parliamentary procedures as a way of evading responsibility for their failures,” he said. While being interviewed by journalists prior to commencing session adding that this was not something compatible with democracy.
According to him, his government is moving towards turning into reality all promises made to people.
“This is about budgeting. These guarantees which I have been giving; we move forward to implement them on ground.” He also expressed his views concerning this year’s budget proposal.
“We are presenting an important budget in Amrit Kaal. Because we have a five year opportunity ahead of us through this budget will determine our path as well as lay. The foundation to realize Viksit Bharat in 2047,” continued Mr. Modi.
“The Budget Session is also one more milestone on democracy’s proud journey,” insisted he further .
He added that after six decades a third term government was again voted back into power.
On July 23rd, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Minister for Finance will present the Budget.
