In Chikkamagaluru, a wellness retreat operator has been arrested on allegations of sexual assault against a Non Resident Indian.
Acting on the complaint made by the NRI, Chikkamagaluru Rural police arrested Pradeep Ullal scapegoated an NRI on 1st September. In fact, Pradeep Ullal runs programs to enhance ‘spiritual, environmental and social awareness.’
Well G. Krishnamurthy, Additional Superintendent of Police told the Hindu, the complainant used to interact with the accused via Whatsapp and later visited programs his centre conducted during the years of 2021 and 2022, when the alleged abuse happened. “We have arrested the accused, and further investigation is on,” he added.
