Mishra commented: “We have been able to record around than sixty-five percent polling as several voter awareness programmes were undertaken to enhance the voting percentage in our district.”

In his words: “The high turnout of voters speaks volumes of people’s anger towards the BJD in the state and BJP in the Centre.I am confident that the people have voted for Congress,” said Bhujabal Majhi, Congress candidate for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat.
The high voter turnout is because the regional party is governing effectively under Nabarangpur Parliamentary segment as stated by Pradeep Majhi BJD candidate for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat .
