Obama, the previous president of the United States, used a hand gesture to mock Donald Trump during his speech at the Democratic National Convention.
In his speech, Obama compared what is currently being discussed in the on-going presidential race to Trump’s past conduct. He began by summarizing voters’ core questions: “Who will fight for me? Who’s thinking about my future? About my children’s future? About our future together?”
Thereafter, Obama castigated Trump, saying that “Donald Trump is not losing sleep…I mean it is unbelievable. A 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago. It’s just been one continuous flow of complaints and grievances that has actually become even more intense now that he fears Kamala would beat him. You know, childish nicknames, wild conspiracy theories and this odd obsession with how many people are there.”
While speaking on Trump’s fixation on crowd size, Obama demonstrated what he meant by bringing his hands closer together as if demonstrating something small while insinuating humorously about Trump’s focus on size; hence attracting laughter from those present.
Obama continued by comparing Trump’s actions stating that, “It just goes on and on and on! The other day I heard someone compare Trump to the next door neighbor who runs their leaf blower outside your window all day long every single minute! Now, from a neighbor that is tiring but from a president it is dangerous.”
