A senior leader in the National Peoples’ Party (NPP) declared here on Friday that it will support the Pema Khandu government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Thangwang Wangham, NPP president for Arunachal Pradesh, stated that his party had willingly accepted the decision made by their people during the recently held Assembly election.
Mr. Wangham maintained that NPP is ready to help Pema Khandu led government for which he said: “We accept what electorate has given us, but we will keep their aspirations alive.”
The newly elected lawmaker from Longding-Pumao constituency stated that party was committed to a clear roadmap on how to go about its business within Arunachal Pradesh, across north east region as well as in India at large.
“We are regionalists with national outlook who will always strive towards bettering peoples’ lives and improving our State.” He says so
In state assembly election conducted last month and won 5 seats out of 20 they contested.
Development, youth employment, health care system, education system and drug abuse are points repeatedly mentioned by Mr. Wangham
By enlightening users about impacts of drug use through awareness campaigns among addicts; he noted on this problem “We shall work towards a drug-free society targeting addicts. Addicts should be allowed a second chance at leading normal lives,” he added.
The BJP ruling group bagged 46 seats in the 60-member House while other parties like NPF got five seats; NCP-3; PPA-2; INC-1and three independents candidates respectively,
On April 19th when polling took place across the state simultaneously with Lok Sabha polls ,the BJP won both parliamentary constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh.
