The Indian National Congress party on June 18th took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the “recycling” of headlines before the release of PM-KISAN’s 17th installment, calling it not some farmers’ prasad but their legitimate rights.
The moment he was inaugurated as one-third Prime Minister on June 9, the first file signed by him was reported to be for paying out the seventeenth installment of the PM-KISAN.
“Again, today’s headlines announce that ‘one-third’ Pradhan Mantri is going to inaugurate the seventeenth instalment of the PM Kisan. Headlines work like this,” Mr. Ramesh posted on X.
“The non-biological PM is not giving some prasad to kisaans. It is their rightful claim and entitlement,’” said the Congress leader.
On June 18, following his re-election as Prime Minister for a third term, Mr Modi will visit Varanasi which is his constituency.
During this tour he will take part in PM-Kisan Samman Sammelan and give away ₹20,000 crore under income support scheme to more than 9.26 crore farmers.
After swearing-in as Prime Minister for third time, Mr. Modi has signed his first file authorizing release of 17th installment of Pm Kisan Nidhi
As stated in an official statement, Mr.Modi would continue with this commitment by releasing an installment worth over Rs.20000 crores to about 9266 beneficiary farmers under Direct Benefit Transfer through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) program.
