Nigel Farage allies label Musk as 'f****** moron' amid escalating feud over reform UK leadership
Elon Musk and Nigel Farage

Nigel Farage‘s allies labeled Elon Musk “f****** moron” after the billionaire called for him to step down as the leader of Reform UK, arguing that the party requires fresh leadership and, “Farage doesn’t have what it takes.”
Raheem Kassam, the former chief-of-staff to Nigel Farage, came to his former boss’s defense, responding bluntly to Elon Musk’s remarks with, “You’re a f****** moron,” according to UK news agency Daily Mail.
Musk’s criticism came despite Farage recently praising him, calling the billionaire a “hero” and crediting him with making the party “look cool.”
The X platform owner delivered an unexpected critique of his fellow Trump supporter on social media, stating: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.” This surprising move came despite Musk being expected to donate millions to Reform UK to support the party in the upcoming general election.
Prior discussions about the party’s direction had taken place between the two individuals and Reform UK’s treasurer, Nick Candy, at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. However, Musk’s position shifted shortly after receiving Farage’s praise.

Farage, seemingly surprised, responded to Musk on X, stating: “Well, this is a surprise! Elon is a remarkable individual, but on this I am afraid I disagree. My view remains that Tommy Robinson is not right for Reform and I never sell out my principles.”
The fallout followed Nigel Farage’s decision to distance Reform UK from Elon Musk’s support of Tommy Robinson, the jailed former leader of the English Defence League. Robinson is currently serving an 18-month sentence for contempt of court, and Farage considers this issue peripheral to the party’s electoral objectives.

Musk further commented on Farage’s stance, writing “Interesting perspective” alongside a video where the leader of Reform UK stated, “we will lose if we politically alienate the whole of Islam”.
Musk also appeared to endorse Rupert Lowe, the Reform MP for Great Yarmouth and previous Southampton Football Club chairman. “I have not met Rupert Lowe, but his statements online that I have read so far make a lot of sense,” Musk earlier wrote on X.
Nevertheless, Farage maintained support for Musk’s criticisms of UK politicians, including Labour’s Jess Phillips and Keir Starmer. Musk said Phillips “deserves to be in prison” and criticised Starmer during his tenure as Director of Public Prosecutions, claiming he failed to bring “rape gangs” to justice.
