On June 18, in Hyderabad, several student unions participated in a protest against the alleged irregularities that were associated with NEET 2024 & NTA examination.
The high court of Allahabad on June 18 found out that she had submitted forged documents and therefore, the NTA should take up the matter.
Prior to this, the National Testing Agency was ordered by the lucknow bench of High Court to present her original OMR sheet intact.
In her writ petition, Ayushi Patel claimed that NTA informed her that my result was not going to be declared since my OMR sheet was torn. She also posted a video on social media where she reiterated these allegations causing a lot of controversy amid protests that have been ongoing due to alleged irregularities during the recent undergraduate medical entrance test (NEET).
The petitioner demanded manual evaluation of her OMR sheets besides calling for an inquiry into NTA and stopping admissions counseling exercise.
A Vacation Bench of Justice Rajesh Singh had asked for original records pertaining to this student from NTA on June 12th.
Sandeep Sharma presented before court the originals along with affidavit as directed by order
But after perusing through them, it was discovered by this court that petitioner based her petition on forgeries. It is unfortunate but advisable according to the court which leaves it open for NTA to take legal measures in relation thereto.
Simultaneously, counsel for petitioner pleaded permission for withdrawal of this particular petition and it was accepted by court.
NTA told the court that they have already decided upon initiating legal actions against Ms. XXX, who is one of their students
This court cannot stop NTA from taking any legal action against such students because petitioner has submitted forged documents says Judge.
When Priyanka Gandhi among others shared Ms Patel’s video clip recently, NTA observed on June 12th that she actually had all elements intact in that other than being forged as candidate’s own score was lower than was alleged.
“No torn OMR answer sheet was sent from any official NTA email, and the actual OMR is available and not torn. Moreover, all results are available online,” said an official
“NTA hereby clarifies that no torn answer sheet was sent from an official NTA ID with regard to a viral video featuring Ms XXX alleging discrepancies in NEET (UG) 2024 scoring and receiving of torn OMR answer sheet. The OMR answer sheet is intact and scores are accurate as per official records…” (NTA).
