Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on July 1 took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that last 10 years of his rule was just a trailer and ‘picture abhi baaki hai’, saying the third term of NDA has seen exam paper leaks, terror attack in J&K, train accident, airport canopy collapse, bridges cave-ins and toll tax hike.

During the Lok Sabha election campaign many times the Prime Minister said “pichle 10 saal toh bas trailer tha, abhi asli picture baaki hai” (last ten years was just a trailer, the real picture is yet to come),” Leader of Opposition Kharge said while participating in the discussion on Motion of Thanks to President’s address in Rajya Sabha.

“How will be it possible for us to see this PM’s picture?” Mr. Kharge wondered.

Mr. Kharge listed out a number of recent events which included exam paper leakages, cancellation of several examinations, train accident occurrence three times in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), leakage from Ram temple , canopies falling at airports three times over and increase in toll rates as well as fall in rupee rates.

As per Mr. Kharge loss due to leaked papers may have affected approximately thirty lakhs students’ future.

“Once it happens like this then students will also stop studying”, he said There have been paper leaks 70 times only during these seven years itself added Mr. Kharge since that has spoiled future of two crore students.

Moreover; opposition leader in Rajya Sabha Upper House also criticized government actionlessness on this subject and investors blame them for bringing up the debate inside Parliament.

The government should develop an examination system within India,” he demanded.

He noted disappointment with President’s speech at joint sitting last week which did not talk about Manipur condition too.”

Mr. Kharge pointed out that, PM did not visit Manipur which has been on fire for the past one year.

He further said there is no vision or direction in the President’s address to Parliament and criticized the ruling party for only giving slogans as well as not doing development works.

According to Mr. Kharge, speech by the President was also silent about challenges facing this country and tried to hide government failures.

In his address, President did not say a thing about poor people, backward classes and Muslims,” he said.

Talk of common man’s predicament in opposition parties whereas he just does ‘Mann Ki Baat’,” says Mr. Kharge targeting Prime Minister Modi.

PM Modi is just good at using slogans only”, Mr. Kharge said.

No previous Prime Minister has done this kind of politics PM had played during elections with speeches.”
