The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for medical entrance exam NEET-UG on July 20, which has been under the scanner over alleged irregularities.
This format of results was first announced on June 5th in line with an order of the Supreme Court currently hearing numerous pleas from different quarters about its irregularities including paper leaks which have marred this examination.
On May 5th, the exams were held at 4,750 examination centers in 571 cities across India and foreign countries; and had more than twenty four lakh candidates sitting for them.
On July 22nd, hearing will continue in the apex court about a group of pleas asking for cancellation, retest and setting up a court monitored investigation into charges of malpractice in this prestigious test.
