It was reported that ex-Speaker Pelosi warned President Biden against the backdrop of the current opinion polls that he might not be able to beat Donald Trump in the next election. In response, Biden disagreed with such a notion by pointing at contradictory surveys and Pelosi decided to consult Donilon who served as an adviser for her.
Though there was no precise suggestion for Biden to quit the race, she however underscored how critical the timing needed to be for his verdict. This conversation highlights some of the uncertainties among Democrats going into 2024. Since then, she has never spoken to him again as she lives in California now.
