Nag Ashwin took to the Twitter platform X to comment on what Arshad Warsi had said and saying that there will be good characterization for the second part. For those unversed, during a podcast session with Abish Mathew Arshad Warsi revealed how much he didn’t like Kalki 2898 AD. When praising Amitabh Bachchan’s acting skills, he criticized Prabhas’ role by saying: “Prabhas, I am really sad but he was like a joker. I wanted to see a Mad Max; I wanted to see Mel Gibson over there,” . This did not go down well with many especially Prabhas’ darlings who sent hate tweets to Warsi on the platform, causing many people calling for an apology.
The movie Kalki 2898 AD is an Indian mythology inspired sci-fi futuristic action drama set in the post-apocalyptic era and based on prophecy of birth of Lord Kalki who is supposed to be a messiah for the oppressed and destroyer of the unjust autocrats. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in key roles, it is expected that there will be more films under this franchise with one already in progress.
