As per the records, Lathers also tried to exit the site which she reached after helping the victims in no way.

A short while later, the paramedics decided it would be best to have her transported to the hospital. While being placed on a stretcher, Lathers sat up and yelled, “The aliens… they’re coming.

Charges for Lathers

When the crash occurred, Lathers, aged 24, was reported driving at a high rate of speed and without a valid driving permit. Lathers’s white Mercedes ran head-on into a Suzuki on which Molina, Hernandez, and Rubio were traveling. Molina and Rubio both died due to the injuries sustained from the accident, whereas Hernandez was injured but lived. Lathers was charged with vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, suspended license driving and injuries caused.

Hernandez’s account of the calamity, which he recalled on a GoFundMe page, reads, “16 years old Abraham’s son, only a son because he has lost the only man who adored him, his father.”

It has been reported that drugs, a toxicology test would reveal, were found in the system of Lathers.

At first Lathers was put on house arrest with an electronic GPS ankle bracelet but after the prosecutors included new mugshots of 4 DUI manslaughter, she has recently been returned to custody.

Hearing set for September 16

A pretrial detention hearing will take place on 16th September and the rule laid down for Lathers will be observed. If she was found guilty of DUI Manslaughter then the punishment could be 30 years imprisonment.
