The official disclosed on Thursday, September 19,2024 that an inquiry committee shall be constituted to inquire into the derailment of 25 wagons of a freight train which took place near Vrindavan in the district of Mathura in India.
This also affected services of about thirty trains which use the railway line on which the incident took place at about 8 pm, Wednesday, with officials saying that progress is being made to open the lines as soon as possible so that normal working conditions would resume.
Almost five hundred workers have been mobilized for the work of tape cutting of the tracks from last night itself.
Agrarian Policy And Infrastructure Department Of The Agra Division Tej Prakash Agarwal Divisional Railway Manager concentrated his attention to the reports from the rail industry and showed his anger on Derailment on railway.
There are about 500-580 wagons at an average level of which transports the coal to the death cake plant on deth cakes to the remote pumping out center of the plant in Suratgarh power plant (Rajasthan).
DCP of North Central Railway, Shri Upendra Chandra Joshi General Manager of North Central Railway said in the morning of the day the mesh clearing is opened against further nee caused by freezing of track conditions.
Joshi stated that trains were derailed in the section of tracks lying between the operational range of Vrindavan Road and Ajhai stations affecting almost an operation of thirty trains in this process.
Even though the causes of the incident are yet to be determined, Mr Rattanjit Singh Sharma said officials were also not ruling out any other possible scenario including one of sabotage.
“It is too early to reveal what are the key factors that would have led to the derailment. Once the inquiry committee is formed, every aspect will be investigated in detail,” he further said.
According to Mr. Joshi the requisite equipment, machines and ART (accident relief train) has been called for from Agra, Delhi and Moradabad in order to speed up the repair work.
S.K. Srivastava, Station Director at Mathura Junction said down train movements are presently happening on the fourth line which helps maintain a measure of operational activity during the repair works.
“With effect from Wednesday night nearly 500 people are on the ground working for normal operations,” he further said.
