She acknowledges how emotionally fraught it is to go through ovarian cancer and the subsequent realization that she wouldn’t be able to have children of her own kindred. However, she emphasized her determination to embrace life’s vicissitudes by saying: “Bygones be bygones, I’ll do my best with what I’ve got.”
When speaking about adoption as an alternative path towards motherhood, Manisha talked about what was going on inside her head. Although at one point she contemplated adopting a child and yet eventually decided against that because of the anxiety and stress brought about by it, preferring instead to call herself godmother. These days, however, all Manisha wants is be there for her aging parents who live in Nepal because; their universe revolves around me”.
Manisha’s resilience and gratitude transcend her personal struggles. In 2012 , A look back at having fought stage IV ovarian cancer plus recuperating thereafter which gave me another chance at living again made me thankful for life once more with its ups and downs teachings.
