According to official, a passenger was apprehended on Thursday at an Australian airport after leaving a parked plane via the emergency exit door, walking along airplane wing and then dropping down using a jet engine.

The incident happened as Jetstar Flight JQ507 arrived at Melbourne Airport from Sydney and parked at the terminal gates. The man got off the plane through the right side of the emergency exit, said authorities.

“The man was doing some really weird things”, Audrey Varghese, another passenger told Melbourne Radio 3AW.

Varghese further said that he dashed towards the exit row shoving people in his path causing chaos before eventually tearing open the emergency exit which triggered an automatically-deployed slide from its wing to the ground. However instead of using it on that occasion, just walked on one of wings and climbed down through one of Airbus A320 engines according to an official present.

Maddison told Parami News TV that during the 90-minute mid-morning flight—something prohibited—he had seen this man vaping with an intention of having himself served alcohol by cabin crew who refused him.

Australian Federal Police arrested him for “alleged aggressive behavior and breaching aircraft safety protocols”. Paramedics assessed the patient’s condition before transferring him to hospital for further examination. Police are still investigating and charges may be made later.
