Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films has partnered with MAMI Mumbai Film Festival again to create a platform for celebrating excellence in short films. This collaboration also allows upcoming movie directors to display their talents worldwide and recognizes the best in film creation, acting, and innovative technology uses for the first time ever, bringing out artistic boundaries of innovation. This section is competitive only to Indians living abroad or Indian nationals who wish to submit short films (fiction, documentary or animation) running for less than 20 minutes.
There will be a selection committee that will choose the top ten entries that will be considered by a jury panel across three categories. The selected short films will have the privilege of being showcased at the illustrious MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 which runs from October 19th-24th in Mumbai.

The format of short films has gained popularity globally creating a dedicated audience base. It gives both established and new filmmakers the chance to experiment with narratives that are not conventional.
