Mallu Ravi, a senior Vice President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), condemned the comments made by former IPS officer and BRS MP candidate for Nagarkurnool, R.S. Praveen Kumar in relation to the demand for Kollapur-Achampet to be declared disturbed area. He stated that Mr. Praveen Kumar did not know how Sridhar Reddy was assassinated when he made such statements.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Mr. Ravi asked if any action was ever taken against Mr. Praveen Kumar, then Superintendent of Police (SP) in Ananthapur when TDP leader Paritala Ravi was killed in broad daylight. “The investigation is being carried out by the police regarding Sridhar’s murder case”, he said pointing out that it is continuing and will end with identifying and arresting culprits,” Mr.Praveen Kumar should stop giving political color to this assassination.
On the other hand, Mr. Ravi denounced allegations that congress leaders used bulldozers at collapur which he said “Congress party is against using them at all” saying it seems like Mr.Praveen Kumar takes himself as a hooligan who do not deserve respect anymore among the society members.He also went ahead to claim that many innocent people from SCs, STs and BCs were shot dead in fake encounters by him; claiming further that BRS leader K.T.Rama Rao and K.C.Rao were controlling his actions.
Senior Congress leader alleged that previously while with Bahujan Samaj Party; Praveen criticized Chandrasekhar Rao whereas now he calls him puppet dancing under his control as BRS chief.
He said that these baseless allegations are being hurled at Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy by ex-IPS officer Praveen Kumar out of desperation, warning him to be ready paying heavily for the unnecessary verbal attacks.
Mr. Ravi has also said that a big public meeting would take place in Nagarkurnool after June 4 to “disclose all facts.”
