Stree 2 is one of the most awaited films this year, produced by Dinesh Vijan and featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi. The countdown has begun as Hindi film trade is hopeful that it will be a blockbuster on its release in the independence day weekend. Although the producers have decided to bring this horror comedy on August 15, there is some exciting news for Stree 2 fans.

According to Pinkvilla, Dinesh Vijan with Jio Studios and Amar Kaushik plan to have special night screenings of the movie on August 14 – Munjya. “Dinesh Vijan planned an innovative release with midnight screenings for Munjya. However, he goes ahead with Stree 2 wherein he will host paid previews of the film on August 14. The show timings are expected to be post-7:30 pm and the fans can watch it a day prior to Independence Day,” said someone who works closely with this project.

This insider went further saying that all parties together looked at it from a commercial angle because people were eagerly waiting for Stree 2 and he creators want to make money out of it by making sure that there are special shows for them. “Night shows on August 14th are usually houseful due to the holiday falling on August 15th. This is what the team is capitalizing on as limited shows are expected across all theaters in India marked as Housefull. Tickets for these Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao Film will be available all over India through various digital platforms,” said our informant adding that such confidence does exist within Stree 2 team .

For those unaware about Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe; there are other movies released before this one in the same universe. According to reports, the film will have several surprise cameos which fans will see on 14th August when it releases.
