On June 15th 2024, Telangana Government issued orders reshuffling IAS officers. Saturday, the Government of Telangana has made a decision to transfer several IAS officers including district collectors to various other locations in the state. In a memorandum signed by Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari on Saturday, 20 officers were transferred and posted to new destinations. It was expected that the reshuffle would take place before outcomes of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are announced.
Pedapalli Collector Muzammil Khan is transferred to Khammam as its collector; Mancherial Collector Badavath Santhosh is transferred and appointed Nagarkurnool’s collector; Nirmal Collector Ashish Sangwan is transferred and appointed Kamareddy’s collector; Vikarabad Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Rahul Sharma is transferred and appointed Jayashankar-Bhupalpalli’s collector.
Furthermore, Sandeep Kumar Jha who was Transco Joint Managing Director has been moved to Rajanna Sircilla as its collector; B.Vijiendra, Special Secretary to the Roads and Buildings Department is now Mahabubnagar’s collector; Prateek Jain presently with PO ITDA Bhadrachalam becomes Collectors of Vikarabad.
It may be noted that during January this year when Revanth Reddy led congress government came into power about 26 IAS officers had been shifted in the first major transfer.
