M Mukesh MLA Raman is the one who was accused by actor Minu Muneer of sexually harassing her has termed it a caste of ‘Blackmail tactics’.
While speaking in an interview regarding his engagement on August 27, 2024, he stated that he had personally talked with her in 2009 when she introduced herself as an upcoming actress looking for leads and called him up.
“Afterwards, she visited my place with a photo book and requested me to arrange jobs for her. I said that I will see what I can do and after a while I received a message from her where she appreciated my manners during our meeting. Never at time did she criticise my conduct or express any disappointment.” he added.
M Mukesh added that there was no further communication with her after that for a long period of time. “In the year 2022, the same woman called again but this time she named herself ’Meenu Muneer’. She was looking for me to extend her a lot of money. I told her there is no possibility of doing that, then she insisted at least Rs. one lac. It was during a whatsapp chat with her that she sent me a message requesting such money. In another message woman warned me that some people of specific community were taken to force me pay when I failed to do so. After a few days, another person calling himself her husband called me and started asking for money again. This group who used to extort money from me has now switched sides because of the circumstances. I am saying this on the basis of evidence and messages they sent me.” Mr. Mukesh attempted to allay fears in both journalists and the public over security concerns stating that he is not frightened.
