As told to ThePublic by ED officer, a TMC MLA’s residence among six properties was raided in the morning of September 17, 2024 in Kolkata. A portion of this was an ED raid in relation to some financial bungling that allegedly took place at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Bengal, Construction Due Diligence and Claims Management Officer stated.
These locations included two places in Serampore with TMC’s Sudipto Roy MLA where search operations were ongoing at Sudipto Roy R. TMC Sudipto Roy Ranaghat MLA’s Sithi residence, A medicine dealer’s house and four other locations.
These raids are against the allegations made concerning a inquiry which ED have initiated concerning financial irregularities at RG Kar Hospital. Certain inputs have been made available appreciably on the basis of which these raids are being conducted, ED officer said to media.
In pursuance to the charges on financial irregularities, CBI had arrested former principal of hospital Stratagem, Sandip Ghosh and three of his aides. These irregularities were brought to light following the case of rape and murder of the woman doctor at the hospital.
