On Friday, September 6, 2024, the Supreme Court said a former principal of R G Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh should not file petitions to defend the ruling by the Calcutta High Court that ordered a CBI investigation into allegations of corruption against him.
The Union MoS, who is also a BJP leader, Sukanta Majumdar has been quoted accusing TMC of attempting to cover-up right since the commission of the act and they are indeed hampering the evidence in the process.
On September 6, 2024, ED officers carried out similar search operations at the home of Sandip Ghosh, former Principal of the R. G. Kar Medical College, and three other associates with alleged financial malpractice where Ghosh is implicated in, an officer commented.
The raids were done at Mr. Sandip Ghosh’s house in Beliaghata and at two places in howrah and Subhasgram district. All four of them are already in the custody of the CBI.
In another development, parents and family members of the victim who participated in the protest on Wednesday (September 4, 2024) night along with the other parties at the hospital claimed that, police bribed them while their daughter’s corpse was still at their residence.
