One of the most anticipated films in recent times, Laapataa Ladies by Jio Studios has also been received favorably by audiences and critics. The film has further laurels coming up its way and has been chosen as the official entry for India to the 97th Academy Awards which will take place in march next year. This rural backdrop drama trailed 29 other films from India to grab a spot in the race for the Oscars in 2025 for that year.
Laapataa Ladies has been confirmed by the Film Federation of India, FFI on Monday as one of the entries for the Oscars 2025. It was also positively reviewed when it was released as it was co-produced by Aamir Khan and Rao’s because of its unique story.
