Haryana Congress ex-leaders, Kiran Choudhry and her daughter Shruti Choudhry joined the BJP on Wednesday in front of senior party leaders at New Delhi.
On Tuesday both Kiran Choudhry as well as Shruti Choudhry had resigned from the primary membership of the Congress claiming that the State unit of the party was being run as a “personal fiefdom”, in an apparent reference to former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda .
Kiran Choudhry is the daughter-in-law to former Haryana chief minister Bansi Lal and is a sitting MLA from Tosham in Bhiwani district. Shruti Choudhry was working president for Haryana unit of congress.
These people joined Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Tarun Chugh who is national general secretary in BJP, Nayab Singh Saini who is Haryana Chief Minister along with other senior leaders at their headquarters in Party.
