A one time worker has used his experience to defend King Charles as not being ‘irascible’ or intolerant and therefore not a monster in the office. The defense comes after concerns about his temper, especially from a video that shows him annoyed by a leaking fountain pen following the death of the Queen.
However, an ex-staff member who spoke to The Daily Beast differed from the previous accounts. “Charles can have a terrible temper… Anything he perceives as incompetence particularly brings it out – he doesn’t suffer fools gladly,” said the source. Nonetheless, they mentioned that: “But in fairness to him, as anyone who has actually worked with him will tell you; he himself is always extremely well prepared, well-read on the subject matter of people he meets and is working with, diligent and respectful of expertise.”
Moreover, ‘He is human and sometimes snaps but people like working for him,’ said another former employee. “Ultimately, people like working for him but everyone is under a lot of pressure because his office is incredibly busy. He’s absolutely not a monster in the office but he does snap at times… Unfortunately there is sometimes a camera on him when it happens.”
A confidant of both king and queen also acknowledged this saying that,’ yes he has an irascible streak but it’s so much better now since Camilla came into his life.’ They argued that “Every day irritations are common among all individuals regardless of positions or status but every move; every gesture made by E specifically others scrutinize.”
In another development commenting on Prince William’s apparent detachment over ongoing tensions surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan; editor-at-large for Mail On Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths made her observation. Adding to this statement she claimed: “This is a guy who has many big things going on right now.” She further explained: “He could be our King within years..and so what? Are we really suppose to believe he’s going to let his brother psychodrama, from Montecito, from Meghan…he’s just come through all that.”
