Jasveen Sangha’s, also known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has been charged with supplying drugs that led to Matthew Perry’s death in October last year. This issue reveals the flamboyant lifestyle of this self-proclaimed ‘drug queen’ which was supported by her reputedly lucrative underground ketamine business catering exclusively for elites.
Luxury living and lethal supply
Sangha’s alleged luxury existence, according to reports included trips abroad to distant lands such as Mexico, Spain, Italy and Dubai along with a fleet of expensive cars like Range Rover or a leased BMW 2024. A botox treatment as well as intravenous drips are some of the extravagant beauty procedures disclosed by court documents and sources close to the case. She was always dressed stylishly and had lots of money and contacts in Hollywood.” Quoted an insider.
According to authorities, there was an overwhelming number of illicit drugs found at Sangha’s upscale home during a DOJ-authorized search warrant service operation. The discovery came on the heels of several months during which she eluded arrest while shopping excessively luxurious goods traveling extensively.
Apathy amidst disaster
The gravity of her situation seems not to have bothered those who know her best. “She acted like she didn’t have a care in the world,” said one longtime friend quoted in Parami News. Her friends described how she seemed perfectly normal – going out for parties or dinners even though everyone knew it was over for her.
Before being taken into custody on August 16, Sangha reportedly went to get her hair done at a salon, got manicure services done plus graced some parties in Hollywood. For instance, federal agents claim that Sangha never stopped leading an audacious life that showed little concern for any deaths that may have resulted from her supposed offenses.
Denial through legal fight
Various issues will influence Sangha’s complex legal battle since she has pleaded not guilty. One of the suspects in connection to Perry’s death included his physicians, an aide and others. The case is further strained by Sangha’s extravagant lifestyle as it suggests she may choose to abscond.
As a pretrial motion noted, “Based on the defendant’s lifestyle and spending, she has the financial means to flee.” Her appearance in court will be closely watched as ongoing investigations into the fatal ketamine overdose continue.
