According to a source, Princess Kate Middleton sent the sweet message to Prince Harry on his 40th birthday because she saw that he was ‘homesick’.
Alluding to the tensions that continue to exist between the brothers, it would however come as a surprise to many that William and Kate posted a royal family’s post on X and appended their own words, saying: “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”
A source claimed that Kate had been the one who pushed that simple message through as well as making sure that
Harry got a phone call on his birthday and a special gift to aid in celebrating his birthday – a major milestone.
The source said, “It is still Kate however, who was very much the backbone of Harry’s birthday wishes, as quiet her efforts to end the rift between the royal family and Prince Harry have realized.”
“‘No! This is not when you are in your mood for the resentments,’ she told William, ‘love and family are the core of their brand, and, more importantly, they do not want to deprive Harry of that message on his very special day.’” The source added.
‘This was most effective for Harry as with these royals and the Waleses, who were active on social media very much sent this olive brance, Harry appreciated that. And Kate also had to speak to him and somehow arrange to have a present sent to him as well,’ the source claimed further.
Harry, who otherwise resides in California with the Duchess of Sussex and their children, the little prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, together with his wife stepped away from the working monarchy in 2020 and spent his birthday around family members. He is said to be bathing with warm water in the evening at the gathering of confidantes.
The message of the royal family homepage post dated Sunday goes down as the first public statement from the family on the Harry birthday since 2021, which also reflects the strained Yuri relationship between him and William, which has not improved at all after feeding the royal family having alleged some damaging things in his television interview with Oprah and in his memoir Spare.
