On July 30, 2024 the raining season in Mangaluru made Kottara Chowki road submerged as vehicles waded their way through heavy rainfall in several districts.
Scattered heavy to very heavy and isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Dakshina Kannada district today as stated by the Meteorological Centre Bengaluru in its daily weather report for Karnataka on Wednesday.
Uttara Kannada and Udupi districts have been forecasted to experience isolated extreme rainfalls along with an average wind speed of about 30-40 km/h, which means that scattered heavy to very heavy rain is imminent.
Belagavi, Kodagu districts will receive isolated instances of heavy rains while Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru are well-positioned to encounter isolated cases of a torrential downpour.
According to Meteorological Centre’s officials “there would be generally cloudy sky” for the next twenty four hours in Bengaluru city and neighbourhood according to local forecast.
