Lok Sabha elections make Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency delayed again. A statement from the producers of the film on Wednesday revealed that Emergency would not hit theaters as originally planned, June 14, 2024. This delay is because of Kangana Ranaut’s engagement in ongoing Lok Sabha elections where she is contesting from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Emergency postponed yet again owing to electoral politics around her.
The statement thanked fans for their love and support of their queen affectionately called Queen by fans. It stressed Kangana Ranaut’s dedication to the country and her responsibilities as a politician which have caused the film’s release to be delayed.
“A lot of love coming our way for our queen Kangana Ranaut. However due to her strong nationalism and sense of duty towards her country, the release date of ‘Emergency’ which was eagerly awaited has been shifted further. We will inform you about a fresh release date shortly. Thank you very much for your continued backing,” read a statement signed by team Emergency.
There are political developments related with this new movie; it unfolds important events in Indian politics. The film is expected to describe India during emergency that stretched from 1975-77.
This is not the first time there have been delays with Emergency. The film directed by Kangana herself has experienced several postponements in its release dates. Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary, Shreyas Talpade and Anupam Kher also feature in this movie.
