As per the reports, Kangana Ranaut, a newly elected Member of Parliament as well as an actress was slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable at the Chandigarh airport. According to NDTV and India Today, it is reported that the problem started when Ranaut refused to surrender her phone for scanning together with other items of hers. The situation worsened after Ranaut repelled security men causing the unusual event of being slapped by CISF personnel.
According to one paramilitary constable who allegedly hit her, Kangana Ranaut was involved in an altercation with him about “disrespecting farmers”. The mobile footage of the event captures Ranaut walking towards the security check-in escorted by some group of security guards having a chat with CISF personnel.
That constable talked continuously for more than fifteen months mentioning the ongoing farmers’ protests which ended up in scrapping off those controversial farm laws. An investigation into this matter has been initiated by CISF commandant in reaction to what happened. In addition to this ,Ranaut’s associates have also reported it to local authorities thus underlining seriousness around it and need for full fledged inquiry.
