Vice President Kamala Harris has come out with a new TV ad doubling down on her call for the former president to engage in another debate with her. The 30-second advertisement criticises Trump’s reluctance to face Harris again after their first debate in September.
As per the Independent, the ad ran as Donald Trump attended a college football game between Alabama and Georgia.

The ad released by Kamala Harris’ campaign, filled with taunts, opened with the statement: “Winners never back down from a challenge. Champions know it’s anytime, anyplace. But losers, they whine and waffle and take their ball home.”
It then cut to a clip of Trump missing a putt on the golf course, followed by footage of Harris addressing the audience on stage. In a direct challenge to Trump, she said, “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage. If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”
In response to Harris’ latest move, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung stated: “Kamala Harris would never show up to a sporting event like this [Alabama-Georgia] because she’d get booed out of the stadium and embarrass herself.”
In a bold plan to further apply pressure, Harris’ team intended to fly a plane over Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, where Trump was attending the football game, reported the Independent. The plane was supposed to carry a banner reading “Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate,” but poor weather conditions forced the cancellation of this stunt.
Despite claiming victory in their September debate, Trump has been hesitant to face Harris again. Harris, on the other hand, has consistently pressed for another debate, stressing the importance of voters seeing both candidates engage on critical issues. Speaking at a recent campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina, she said, “I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what is at stake could not be more important.”
In another instance, when asked about her message for Trump, she said “Join me on the debate stage. Let’s have another debate. There’s more to talk about, and the voters of America deserve to hear the conversations that I think we should be having on substance, on issues, on policies”.
